| Remember that a gasket's ability to create and maintain a seal depends not only on the quality, thickness and compatibliity of the material, but also on the design of the joint. A gasket's capability is greatly dependent on how the gasket is assembled into the flange, the efficiency of the bolt up procedure and the amount of gasket stress achieved during assembly and operating conditions. |
