Chemical Hose - Polypropylene
Construction
| These hoses are manufactured from polypropylene fabric, film and tubes. In addition the hoses have a weatherproof and abrasion-resistant outer cover. This hose is available with a variety of inner and outer wire configurations. |
Polypropylene hose makes an ideal choice for general purpose chemical and fuel service in truck and rail car transfer and in-plant processing. These hoses are suitable for full vacuum and 250 psi discharge service from -20ºF to +212ºF depending on product. |
Handling
| Do not turn the composite hose coupling in the body of the hose when threading on additional couplings. The composite hose coupling should be held securely so that it does not turn. Turning the composite hose coupling could damage the integrity of the sealing components and lead to failure. |

Chemical Hose - PTFE
Duties
| Willcox PTFE (Polytetrafluorethylene) hoses are designed for the very searching solvents and chemicals now in use, e.g. Butyl Acetate, Molten Sulphur, Perchlorethylene, Trichlorethylene, Isopropyl Acetate, Methyl Isobutyl Ketone, Phthalic Anhydride, Nitric Acid, Sulphuric Acid, etc. These hoses are manufactured in four distinct types, therefore selection of the correct hose is dependent on the product being conveyed. Special care should also be taken with regard to the chemical resistance of the internal wire and the temperature of the product being conveyed. Temperature Range: Type 4121 & 4124: -20ºF to +212ºF / Type 4131 & 4134: -20ºF to +320ºF Standard: Types 4121, 4124, 4131, and 4134 all conform to BS 5842:1980 Standard Length: Maximum length of 65 ft. |
Construction
| These hoses are manufactured with the extensive use of PTFE material. They have a PTFE lining supported with layers of chemically resistant film and tubes. In addition they are manufactured with a weatherproof and abrasion resistant outer cover, reinforced with internal and external spiral wires. |

Construction
| Willcox hoses with polypropylene construction are resistant to a wide range of fuels and solvents; dedication of hose to conveyant is rarely necessary. For those applications of a more corrosive, acidic and searching solvent nature, Marinemaster is available with a PTFE lining and polypropylene-covered outer stainless steel inner wires. All Willcox hose incorporates the following features:

In addition the hoses have a weatherproof, abrasion-resistant outer cover, reinforced with internal and external spiral wires of galvanized carbon steel. Hose type 2041 is manufactured with an aluminum internal wire in place of the galvanized carbon steel wire, allowing a considerable saving in the weight of the hose. Temperature Range: -20ºF to +140ºF Standard: Types 1081, 1041 and 2041 all conform to BS 3492 Type BX Length: Maximum length is 65 feet. |
